The Macallan Quest

The Macallan Quest is a tribute to the lengths in which Macallan will go to provide the best oak possible for their casks. The oak used in casks can really make the difference to flavour, that’s why 4 different casks have been used in the maturation of this divine malt. We start with ex American bourbon casks, before European ex sherry, American oak and ex hogs head casks. No short measures are taken here!

On the nose lemon tart and vanilla custard combine beautifully with a subtle oak. The palate is full of flavour, British winter fruits, nutmeg, clove and some soft spices. The finish is soft, long and fruity.
