Oslo Håndverksdestilleri (OHD) started life in 2015 and was created with one goal in mind; to create exceptional quality artisanal spirits. The products they produce resonate with distilling traditions dating back to pre-1927 and encompass rich Norwegian botanicals from the surrounding area, namely the river Alna, situated near Norway’s capital city.

OHD’s purpose for Blank? Neat or cocktails! Bursting with flavour thanks to nine specially-selected botanicals this unaged akevitt includes traditional caraway, calamus root, sorrel, meadowsweet, juniper and angelica root. Why not swap out gin for this traditional Norwegian tipple?
The nose is caraway-led with hints of juniper and wild floral heather. On the palate expect a peppery mouthfeel with more juniper. The finish is floral and gently spiced.

Cocktail suggestion: Neo-Fjordic Paloma. Mix 40ml Blank Akevitt with15ml Campari, lemon juice, 20ml sugar syrup, 50ml grapefruit juice and finish with soda. Garnish with a slice of grapefruit and sprig of mint!
