JuiceBox Zero is designed specifically for the Raspberry Pi Zero to allow you power it from a battery. It’s the simplest way to properly power your Pi Zero with a battery!

Note: not ideal for the Raspberry Pi Zero 2 (without some power-saving measures) due to the 1A max output. 

It is the only battery management board in this form factor that requires no code. With JuiceBox Zero, you get the best solution for instant Pi Zero portability.

It comes with an on/off switch, status indicator LED and Pi Zero Camera mount built right in!

Note: Battery and Raspberry Pi Zero not included!

Battery Power

Compatible with any 3.7 to 4.2V Lithium-Ion or Lithium-Polymer battery with a JST PH connector, 1A Current Output and 1A Charge rate.

Low Power Threshold

Power levels at or below 3.2V illuminate the low battery LED and trip a software trigger tied into GPIO 16 (can be changed to GPIO 25). GPIO trigger use is not required for operation.

Micro USB Power

Requires a 5V power supply, and can draw up to 2A. Can both charge the battery and power the Raspberry Pi at the same time. Caution: Do not power your Raspberry Pi and JuiceBox Zero simultaneously. This can cause damage to both devices.

Pi Compatibility

Compatible with both Raspberry Pi Zero and Pi Zero W models. May also be suitable for powering other Pi models (just keep an eye on current usage). Not ideal for the Zero 2 without power-saving measures taken.

Get Started

All you need to get started is your JuiceBox Zero, a Raspberry Pi Zero or Zero W, a stacking or non-stacking header connection, and a JST-compatible, single-cell lithium-ion battery.
