HYKE Gin

Foxhole Spirits has done it again and created another cracking premium gin, HYKE. Foxhole’s creator, James Oag-Cooper, has a history of turning what was once a surplus by-product into something special with HYKE’s award-winning big brother, Foxhole Gin, being a firm favourite on the shelves of bars and within the homes of gin connoisseurs alike. James recognised the unnecessary waste of perfectly good table grapes that were surplus to requirement of large supermarkets. So much so that he teamed up with Richard Hochfeld Ltd, arguably one of the largest fruit importers in the UK. Together they are re-inventing the equivalent of 1.4 million punnets of surplus grapes per year and thus the base spirit created helps to reduce food waste in supply chain. Cheers to that!

The nose is hugely aromatic with sweet citrus notes and a glorious pine forest scent. On the palate HYKE offers a smooth appreciation of juniper with accompanied spices such as aniseed, cardamom and liquorice. The finish is earthy-dry with hints of sweet citrus. Very refreshing and equally delicious!
